The new Ford RANGER turns troublesome obstacles into more of an exciting activity. Bring your water hazard, steep sandy incline or rocky terrain. The new RANGER 4x4’s are ready with 800mm water-wading capability, Electronic Locking Rear Differential and driver-assist features, which makes tough tasks look easy, whether it’s working on the job or heading out on a weekend of recreation.
Easy Lift Tailgate* - With all the heavy lifting you’re doing, you need all the help you can get. Introducing the new tailgate with lift assistance. With 70% less effort to close it, you’ll need one finger. *Easy Lift Tailgate - Available on XLT
Towing* - The towing capacity of 3 500kg on the new RANGER enables you to take on life's biggest challenges. Add to that Dynamic Stability Control that adapts to changing load for more control, you can take those jobs on with confidence. *3.5 Tonne Towing – Maximum braked towing capacity on all 4x2 Hi-Rider and 4x4 Ranger models when fitted with a genuine Ford Tow Bar
Bedliner* - To protect the loadbox metal and paint from bumps, scratches and other impacts, the new RANGER Wildtrak comes standard with a bedliner. Also included is a handy 12V socket for powering low-voltage accessories. *Ranger Wildtrak comes standard with a Bedliner, protecting the load box sheet metal and paint from impacts and scratches, while providing a handy 12V socket for powering low-voltage accessories. A high-density polyethylene spray-in bedliner is optional on other series in the range, refer to the specification sheet for more info. *The vehicle shown in this image includes a Roller Shutter which is a non-standard accessory.

Hill Descent Control* - Make off-road downhill driving a breeze in a new RANGER 4x4 with it’s Hill Descent Control. Designed to automatically apply braking as needed and slow the vehicle to a set speed. You can adjust the speed as you wish with the accelerator and Cruise Control buttons. *Hill Descent Control – Available on 4x4 derivatives only
800mm Water-wading Capability* - The new RANGER’s love of taming difficult terrain, stretches to water as well. With water-wading capability of 800mm, there aren’t many water hazards that can keep you from getting where you want to go. *800mm Water Wading - on 4x2 Hi-Rider and 4x4 Ranger models. Achieved when maintaining a steady speed of 7 km/h.
4x4 Electronic Shift-on-the-Fly - Shifting into and out of four-wheel drive at the turn of a dial. 4x2 for regular driving, 4x4 high range for poor road surfaces and 4x4 low range for very challenging terrain. With the 4x4 Electronic Shift-on-the-Fly, you can shift between modes whilst moving.

Automatic Emergency Braking* and Pre-collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection* - When driving, you need to be alert at all times, but sometimes it’s possible to miss something, regardless of your speed. At speeds more than 3.6km/h, the Pre-collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection looks out for cars that stops suddenly or pedestrians that step into the road. It then applies brakes if you don’t. *Automatic Emergency Braking and Pre-collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection available on Wildtrak derivatives only.
Adaptive Cruise Control* - The days of turning Cruise Control on and off as traffic conditions change, are over. Adaptive Cruise Control adapts your speed to the cars in front of you and returns to the pre-set speed once traffic clears. *Adaptive Cruise Control available on Wildtrak derivatives only.
Lane Keeping Assist with Lane Departure Warning* - Lane-keeping Assist monitors road markings and detects any unintentional lane changes. It then alerts the driver by vibrating the steering wheel. If there is no response from the driver, or an indicator it will actually direct you back to your lane by applying steering torque. *Lane-keeping Assist with Lane-departure Warning available on Wildtrak derivatives only.
Auto High-Beam and LED Lighting with LED Foglamps* - See and be seen with the LED signature Daytime Running Lights on the new RANGER Wildtrak. The LED foglamps also outperforms their halogen counterparts in those misty conditions. Driving in rural areas can be tasking, especially after dark. In the new RANGER Wildtrak, the auto high-beam feature automatically turns the high beams on and off depending on the level of light and other vehicles close by. * Auto high-beam and LED lighting with LED foglamps available on Wildtrak derivatives only.
230V Inverter* - The new RANGER Wildtrak comes fitted with a 230V/150W power inverter in the back of the centre console. Great for powering electrical equipment wherever you find yourself. *230V inverter available on Wildtrak derivatives only.
Semi-Auto Active Park Assist* - To ease the pain of parallel parking, the new RANGER Wildtrak is designed to find an open parking spot that is the right size and then automatically steers itself in for a perfect park. All you need to do is control the speed. This Semi-auto Active Park Assist is a first in the bakkie segment in South Africa and much needed on a vehicle this size. *Semi-auto Active Park Assist available on Wildtrak derivatives only.
Tyre Pressure Monitoring System* - The incorrect tyre pressure can negatively affect safety and fuel economy. The Tyre Pressure Monitor checks each tyre’s pressure constantly to alert you when a tyre needs to be inflated. *Tyre Pressure Monitoring System available on Wildtrak derivatives only.
Front and Rear Parking Sensors with Rear-view Camera* - With the clever system of front and rear parking sensors and a rear-view camera in the new RANGER, you can see what’s behind you on a screen built into the centre console. Park in tight spaces with the help of virtual lines. The camera activates automatically when you select reverse gear. *Front and rear parking sensors with rear-view camera available on Wildtrak and XLT derivatives only.
